USPTO To Increase Fees in January, 2025

The USPTO will be increasing fees for trademark application and maintenance filings. This fee increases will be effective as of January 18, 2025.
The fee increases include new charges for filing applications with long identifications of goods and services and “deficiencies” in applications. Please keep these charges in mind as you develop your trademark application strategies.
We have prepared the chart below summarizing the most important fee increases.
U.S. Application Filings

Extension of time for filing a response to a pre-registration office action | $125 per class |
Fee for insufficient information | $100 per class |
Fee for using free-form text to enter identification of goods/services | $200 per class |
Statement of Use | $150 per class |
Request for Extension of Time to file Statement of Use | $125 per class (no change) |
Petition to Director | $400 |
Petition to Revive | $250 |
U.S. Maintenance Filings
Declaration of Use | $300 per class |
Combined Declaration of Use and Incontestability | $575 per class |
Combined Declaration of Use and Application for Renewal | $650 per class |
